Dr. Emma Frankham received her Ph.D from the Department of Sociology, University of Wisconsin–Madison in May 2019. Originally from Leicester, England, Dr. Frankham’s research focuses on mental illness, policing, and incarceration in the United States.
Her research has been published in Stigma and Health, Contexts, and The Sociological Quarterly.
She has taught on the topics of criminal law, policing, incarceration, and community-engaged research.
She is currently a stay at home parent to her newborn daughter but remains an active researcher and plans on pursuing policy-related research following parental leave.
